The Willit container is a temperature-controlled pickup point for preorders. The harvest comes from a nearby producer, not via a central warehouse. The producer drops off the batch, and you collect your order at the agreed time. The first container serves Oulu.
The producers are close by
Behind the container runs machinery that finds nearby producers, contacts them and agrees the deliveries. The machine does the work, a human approves it.

1. Finds the producers
The system goes through nearby producers and public sources: who fishes, forages or farms, and what is in season right now. Closest first, then next closest.

2. Makes contact
The machine writes the invitation to the producer and passes the restaurant's request onward. We read every message before it goes out — the invitation comes from a person, not a robot.

3. Agrees the delivery
Quantity, day and container are settled in advance. The producer drops the batch off with their own door code, or the delivery round picks it up on the way.

4. Reacts to you at the door
The container knows what is on its shelf. It points you to the nearest container, recognises the visitor at the door and tells you on the label where the batch came from.
One round, many producers
The produce does not travel via a central warehouse. It goes from a nearby producer to the nearest container and waits for you there. The same round collects several producers' batches at once, so fewer vehicles are on the road.
A kilometre not driven shows up in two places: the transport emissions and the price. That is why we look for the closest producer first.
What's inside the container
The container is not just a cold room. It monitors itself, knows its users and serves both sides of the door: buyer and seller.
Smart monitoring
The container watches over itself: temperatures are logged automatically and the equipment reports its health every few minutes. Any anomaly alerts the operations team right away.
Managed entry
Collection is arranged for each order at an agreed time. You receive pickup instructions when your goods are ready.
A screen that knows who walked in
The container's indoor screen changes with the visitor: as a buyer you see your shelf spot right at the door, as a seller you see your labels printing. The rest of the time it shows the cold-zone temperatures — you can verify the cold chain through the glass.
For sellers: automatic label printers
Drop off a batch — the batch labels print automatically when you open the door with your own code. Origin and traceability travel with the label.
AI customer service
The container's AI customer service agent helps with preorder collection and batch drop-off.
