Scope of These Terms
These terms of use apply to the use of the Willit marketplace (www.willit.fi). By registering for or using the service, you accept these terms.
Willit is a marketplace platform through which independent sellers sell products directly to buyers. Willit Oy is not a party to the sales contract and does not sell products on its own account.
In addition to these general terms of use, the separately published delivery terms, payment terms and privacy policy apply to the service.
1. Account Terms
Registration
- Use of the service requires registration and a minimum age of 18 years
- The user is responsible for the accuracy and currency of the information provided
- Each user may only register one account
- User credentials are personal and may not be shared with third parties
User Responsibilities
- The user is responsible for all activity conducted through their account
- The user agrees to comply with Finnish law and these terms of use
- The user must notify us immediately if they suspect their account has been subject to unauthorized access
Account Suspension and Restriction
Willit Oy reserves the right to restrict or close a user account if:
- The user violates these terms of use or Finnish law
- The user engages in fraudulent or deceptive activity
- The user repeatedly receives justified complaints
- The user fails to respond to communications within a reasonable time
Account restrictions or closures will be communicated to the user by email. The user has the right to request a review of the decision by contacting hello@willit.fi.
2. Product Protection
Willit Oy (3570240-8) does not copy or produce sellers' products for its own use. Sellers' products, recipes and product descriptions are the property of the seller.
Willit acts solely as a marketplace platform and does not compete with sellers with its own products. Seller trust is the foundation of our platform's operation.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
Seller Content
The seller retains all rights to their products, product descriptions, photographs and recipes. By publishing content on the Willit platform, the seller grants Willit Oy a non-exclusive, revocable right to use the content for providing and marketing the service.
When a seller deletes their account or products, Willit will remove the relevant content within a reasonable time.
Platform Content
The Willit platform's structure, design, software code and Willit trademark are the property of Willit Oy. Copying, modifying or redistributing these without written permission is prohibited.
User Reviews
Reviews and ratings left by buyers are part of the service content. Willit reserves the right to moderate reviews that violate the terms of use, contain inappropriate language or are clearly misleading.
4. Prohibited Products and Activity
Prohibited Products
The following may not be sold on the Willit marketplace:
- Illegal products or substances
- Products requiring a special licence, unless the seller holds a valid licence
- Products that infringe third-party intellectual property rights
- Food products that do not meet Finnish food safety legislation requirements
- Products of unknown or untraceable origin
Prohibited Activity
- Providing false or misleading information about products, prices or availability
- Artificial manipulation of prices
- Unauthorized use of another user's account
- Circumventing the platform's technical protections
- Sending spam or misusing the platform's communication features
- Any fraudulent or deceptive activity
Willit reserves the right to remove prohibited products and restrict the accounts of users who violate these rules without prior notice.
5. Limitation of Liability
Platform Role
Willit Oy operates as a marketplace platform and provides the technical infrastructure for trade. Willit Oy is not a party to the sales contract and is not responsible for:
- The quality, safety or compliance of sellers' products
- The accuracy of product information provided by sellers
- Disputes between the parties to a transaction
- Delivery delays or damage to products
Willit Oy is responsible for:
- The technical functionality of the platform to a reasonable extent
- The proper functioning of payment processing through the payment service provider
- Customer service in problem situations and dispute mediation
Service Availability
Willit Oy strives to provide the service without interruption but does not guarantee continuous availability. Maintenance breaks and technical disruptions are possible. Willit Oy is not liable for damages arising from temporary service unavailability.
Compensation
Willit Oy's liability is limited to the minimum level required by mandatory legislation. Willit Oy is not liable for indirect damages, such as lost profit.
6. Changes to Terms
Willit Oy reserves the right to amend these terms of use. Users will be notified of changes as follows:
- Material changes: Email notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect
- Minor changes: Notification within the service and an updated version on this page
By continuing to use the service after the changes take effect, the user accepts the updated terms. If the user does not accept the changes, they have the right to stop using the service and close their account.
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms of use are governed by Finnish law.
Dispute Resolution:
- Disagreements are primarily resolved through negotiation
- Consumers may refer disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi)

- If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the matter will be resolved in the District Court of Oulu

8. Seller Obligations
The seller is responsible for ensuring that their activities and products comply with Finnish legislation requirements.
Food Safety
- The seller is responsible for ensuring that food products sold are safe and compliant with legislation
- Business sellers must be registered as a food business or have made the necessary food safety notifications
- Wild products collected under everyman's rights (berries, mushrooms) do not require a separate notification for small-scale sales
- Products requiring cold chain must be stored and transported appropriately
Product Information and Pricing
- The seller is responsible for the accuracy of product descriptions, prices and availability information
- Product images must correspond to reality
- Allergen information, ingredient lists and origin information must be provided as required by legislation
- Prices must include value added tax (VAT)
Licences and Notifications
- The seller must ensure they hold the necessary licences and registrations for their activities
- For game and fish products, the requirements of hunting and fishing legislation must be followed
- The seller is responsible for meeting any DAC7 reporting obligations
Order Processing
- The seller commits to processing orders within a reasonable time
- The seller must respond to buyer messages within a reasonable time
- If the seller cannot deliver an ordered product, they must notify immediately
