Set up the connection in your assistant’s website, then sign in to Willit and approve access. Pasting the address into a chat does not connect it.
Start with a pilot invitation
Ask Willit to enable your buyer account for the pilot. Then add the server address in Claude or ChatGPT and sign in to Willit with Google, Apple or your usual login. Your assistant identifies itself automatically. You do not need a Client ID or Client Secret.
Available menus depend on your account and workspace permissions. An organization administrator may need to add the connection. The official guides show the current steps.
Run your first connection test
What success looks like The chat shows a Willit tool call and real results from it. An empty result also confirms a search ran, but means no eligible products were found. If products are found, the availability check should return stock and pickup details.
A reachable server or a completed browser demo does not prove the assistant is connected. Confirm sign-in and an actual tool result in each assistant. Full purchase and payment testing is a separate pilot step.
Connection not working?
The server returns 404
Check the exact server URL. The connection may be disabled; ask Willit to check it.
The server returns 401 or asks you to sign in
This is expected before sign-in. If it continues after connecting, reconnect and check that your Willit account has pilot access.
Client not registered or invalid_client
Select the assistant’s published identity instead of manual credentials or automatic registration (DCR). Remove old credentials and reconnect. If it persists, ask Willit to check the connection.
Access denied or insufficient permissions
Check that you used the invited account and approved the requested access. Ask Willit to verify the pilot permissions.
No option to add a connection
Check the official guide for your account. In an organization, ask your administrator to add it.
The first pilot focuses on one producer and a pickup order. Producer tools, business sourcing and operational workflows are planned next, with their own permissions and approval steps.
