How you sell your farm produce
Three steps from the field to the buyer — no middlemen, no retailer's buying price
1. List your products
Add products with photos and prices. Share the production method and origin — buyers choose the farm whose name they know.
2. Set the price yourself
You decide the price, not the retailer. You can print price labels for the farm shop and build a price list for your own customers.
3. Drop the batch at a pickup point
The buyer pays online. You leave the batch at a pickup point, or our logistics partner collects it from the farm. Restaurant customers can be invoiced on agreed terms.
Why sell your farm produce on Willit?
A direct line to the buyer
You sell straight to households and restaurants. Better margin than through a wholesaler, and the customer relationship stays yours.
Pickup is handled for you
No meet-ups, no home deliveries. The batch moves through a pickup point and the buyer collects it.
Money after pickup
Payments run through Visma Pay. Once pickup is confirmed, the money reaches your account the next business day.
The buyer sees the farm name
The product card carries the farm, the location and the production method. A short chain from farm to table is a selling point, not a footnote.
What farm produce can you sell?
Eggs and dairy products
Fresh eggs, cheeses, yogurts, creams...
Vegetables and root crops
Potatoes, carrots, onions, salads, vegetable patches...
Meat and slaughtered products
Beef, lamb, pork, poultry from approved slaughterhouse...
Processed and craft products
Jams, juices, honey, baked goods, preserves...
Note! Selling food requires a food premises notification and slaughtered products require an approved slaughterhouse. Processed goods need a self-monitoring plan.
Your own web shop for the farm
You can sell on the Willit marketplace or open your own web shop for the farm, with your own address and look. Same products, same pickup — the shop simply looks like your farm. Restaurant customers order on invoice either way.
A restaurant wants the same ingredient every week
Regularity is a farm's advantage over wild produce: a kitchen can put an item on the menu only if it is there next week too. Keeping in touch and invoicing are our job.
One order, many farms
We combine the batches so the kitchen gets one order and one invoice. You deliver only your own batch.
You do not write the invoice
Willit invoices the restaurant and settles the agreed producer price with you. No invoicing software, no contract of your own with the kitchen.
You deliver to a pickup point, not to the kitchen
You leave the batch at the agreed pickup point and the kitchen collects it in its own time. Eggs, root vegetables and processed goods travel in the same delivery.
Frequently asked questions about farm direct sales
Where can I sell farm products?
On Willit you sell straight to the buyer: you list the product, the buyer pays online and the batch moves through a pickup point. The usual channels are a farm shop, a market stall or a REKO ring, but those tie selling to one place and one hour. Restaurants and professional kitchens buy from the same listing and pay on invoice.
What permits do I need to sell farm products?
Primary production is registered with the municipal food control authority, and handling or processing food requires a food premises notification. Meat comes from an approved slaughterhouse and processed goods need a self-monitoring plan. Check the limits for your own operation with your municipal food control.
Do I need a business ID?
Yes. Selling farm products is business activity and requires a business ID. Without one, a private person may only sell small quantities of berries, mushrooms and wild herbs gathered under everyone's rights.
Who decides the price?
You do. Willit does not buy your products or set a purchase price — you list the price yourself. For restaurant customers prices are shown at 0 % VAT and the order is invoiced on agreed terms.
How much commission does Willit charge?
We take no commission — you keep everything you sell. Listing is free, and you only pay a flat monthly fee for your chosen tier (locker spot, producer page, HoReCa channel). See all tiers on our pricing page.
How does pickup work in practice?
The customer orders on the platform. You drop the batch at a Willit pickup point (kontti) and the customer collects it with a pickup code. You agree on payment directly — for restaurant orders Willit invoices the restaurant on your behalf and settles the agreed producer price to you.
Who writes the invoice when a restaurant buys?
Not you. Willit sells the goods in its own name for the producers' account and invoices the restaurant; a settlement statement is drawn up on your behalf. You need no invoicing software and no contract of your own with the kitchen. Consumer sales are paid online as before.
Can I also sell processed goods?
Yes. Jams, juices, honey, baked goods and preserves are in demand. You need a food premises notification and a self-monitoring plan; small-scale processing is possible in a home kitchen under certain conditions. Your municipal health authority has the details.
