These terms explain how you may use the Willit.fi and app.willit.fi services and what we promise in return. Please read them before posting a listing, initiating a purchase or using Willit Buyer Protection.
Hosting & Moderation
We enforce catalogue rules for natural products, review listings and remove anything that violates food safety or licensing requirements.
Willit Buyer Protection
Every transaction completed via the pay button includes a mandatory protection fee that keeps funds in escrow while we help resolve disputes.
Payments & Fees
We use Paytrail payment service for secure transactions. We efficiently connect buyers and sellers and charge a 5% commission fee.
Local Wild Foods
Willit focuses on fish, game, berries and other traceable natural ingredients. Sellers are responsible for origin, permits and labelling.
1. About you and Willit
Willit Oy ("Willit", "we") operates Willit.fi, app.willit.fi and the supporting APIs and producer tools. We champion Arctic producers yet remain a neutral platform and never act as the seller of record.
These terms apply to anyone who browses the catalogue, creates a listing, registers a producer profile or completes a transaction through the Willit checkout.
- •We simply host and moderate the marketplace. Ownership transfers directly between buyer and seller.
- •We provide Buyer Protection, logistics integrations and optional services such as listing boosts and analytics as described here.
- •We safeguard security, moderation and regulator cooperation in line with Finnish and EU consumer and food laws.
2. Scope of this agreement
You accept these terms when creating an account, publishing a listing or continuing to use the services after we announce an update. If you do not agree, you must stop using Willit and close your account.
Catalogue rules, the Buyer Protection policy, the privacy notice and any producer-specific agreements are part of the same framework. In case of conflict, those specific rules may prevail.
References cover Willit.fi, app.willit.fi and any future experiences we launch.
- •Version 2026-09 replaces prior terms as of 15 September 2026.
- •We may publish additional terms for Willit Pro sellers or logistics partners.
3. Getting in touch
Report suspicious listings, illegal goods or abusive behaviour via the in-app report button, our online form or email. Early reports keep the marketplace safe for everyone.
If your intellectual property is infringed, provide sufficient proof so we can remove the content and cooperate with authorities.
Disagree with a decision we made? File a written appeal and we will review it internally before you escalate to external dispute resolution.
- •hello@willit.fi – general support and abuse reports
- •risto@viher.it – privacy and compliance matters
- •Reporting form – banned goods, IP infringements and legal requests
4. Accounts and checks
Creating an account requires your real name, a verified email address and, in most cases, a confirmed phone number. Professional sellers must also share business details and proof of permits.
Account rules
- •You may operate one personal account and, if applicable, a separate Willit Pro account for professional activity.
- •If an account is hijacked we will freeze it and only reopen access once your identity has been reverified.
- •We may block accounts that try to bypass restrictions, rely on disposable emails or trade without the required permits.
5. Personal data and content
We process personal data according to our privacy notice. Data is stored within the EU/EEA and used solely to deliver the service, secure the platform and comply with legal duties.
By uploading photos, descriptions or any other content you grant Willit a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it for operating, marketing and analysing the service. You keep full ownership of your work.
- •You can opt out of marketing usage in your account settings.
- •Only share personal details with trading partners when it is necessary to fulfil the delivery.
6. Responsibilities and restrictions
A trustworthy marketplace depends on responsible conduct. You must follow applicable fishing, foraging and food laws and keep your credentials secure.
You must
- •Provide accurate information about origin, harvest dates, conditions and limitations.
- •Keep your contact details current and make sure buyers receive their goods on the agreed schedule.
- •Handle conversations confidentially and alert us if you suspect fraud.
You must not
- •Upload illegal, misleading, hateful or rights-infringing content.
- •Use bots, scrapers or other automation to promote listings or manipulate search.
- •Relist the same product repeatedly or sell goods you do not control.
- •Harvest marketplace data for external use without explicit consent.
7. When we intervene
If we detect a violation we may warn you, hide listings, pause messaging or apply temporary feature limits.
Serious or repeated breaches can lead to permanent suspension, cancellation of transactions and refunds to affected buyers. We may also notify regulators or payment partners.
Automated safety tools look for unusual behaviour, such as repeated failed logins or suspicious payment attempts. We will explain our decisions unless the law prevents disclosure.
8. Payments and commission
Willit uses Paytrail payment service for secure payment processing. We efficiently connect buyers and sellers and ensure smooth transactions.
We charge a 5% commission fee on every successful transaction. The fee includes payment processing, platform maintenance, and customer support.
Payments are transferred directly to the seller via Paytrail. Refunds are always returned to the original payment method.
9. Messages, reviews and community
Private messages are only for exchanging transaction details. Mass messaging, advertisements and malicious links are prohibited.
After each transaction you may leave an honest review. We do not edit reviews but we may remove clearly abusive content.
10. Selling on Willit
Sellers are responsible for holding the rights to transfer the goods and for complying with the Willit catalogue rules as well as local regulations.
Each listing requires its own photos and description specifying origin, handling and storage requirements.
- •Dropshipping or selling goods you do not physically control is not allowed.
- •Remove your listing before checkout if the product is no longer available.
- •Bundle offers must describe every included product and maintain full traceability.
11. Buying and Buyer Protection
When you buy, you pay the item price, delivery fee and the mandatory Willit Buyer Protection fee. Funds stay in escrow until you confirm delivery or we resolve a dispute.
Report missing, damaged or significantly not-as-described goods within two calendar days of the delivery update. We will pause the payout until the case is resolved.
Willit may require you to return the goods to the seller or grant a refund without a return if the product is clearly prohibited or counterfeit.
12. Delivery and logistics
Willit is a local marketplace where the primary delivery method is local pickup. Once the order is confirmed and paid, the buyer and seller arrange the pickup time and location via the chat function.
Some sellers offer shipping as an option. This depends on the seller's own settings and product suitability for shipping. Shipping costs are shown during checkout.
Our delivery partners include Posti, Matkahuolto, DHL, Bring, PostNord, DB Schenker, UPS, FedEx, GLS, Budbee, DPD, and Omniva.
Local pickup (primary)
- •Pickup can be arranged at the seller's door, marketplace, or another agreed location.
- •The seller is responsible for storing the product and maintaining quality until pickup.
- •No additional fees for pickup – products stay fresh and you save on delivery costs.
Shipping (optional)
- •Delivery time typically 1–5 business days depending on carrier.
- •Shipping costs vary based on product weight, size, and destination.
- •The seller is responsible for proper packaging.
13. Liability, taxes and intellectual property
Willit provides a hosting service and does not guarantee the quality, safety or suitability of individual goods. Unless Buyer Protection decides otherwise, responsibility remains with the trading parties.
You are responsible for all taxes, permits and reporting obligations. We offer tooling but no tax advice.
All Willit trademarks, visuals and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or commercialise the interface without written permission.
14. Disputes, updates and contact
We aim to resolve disputes via our support team first. If you remain unsatisfied you may contact the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board or the equivalent body in your home country.
Finnish law and any mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply to these terms. Claims may be brought before the District Court of Oulu or your local court.
We will announce material updates 30 days in advance. You may stop using the service before the changes take effect.
